Tyler Technologies partnered with the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office to address a slow, error-prone citation process driven by Wyoming’s requirement to write a new ticket for every violation. Deputies were spending excessive time on the roadside filling out multiple paper tickets, which reduced officer safety, harmed legibility and accuracy, and caused delays or dismissals when records and courts could not read or verify information.

Tyler implemented an automated eCitation solution with drop-down fields and NCIC auto-population that allows officers to document multiple infractions within a single citation and share data across public safety and court systems. The result: faster, more accurate ticketing, reduced roadside time for officers, smoother records-to-courts processing, and fewer citation dismissals.
