Northwest Regional Education Service District (NWRESD) in Hillsboro, Oregon, supports 20 urban and rural school districts and nearly 98,000 students, providing shared business services, human resources, technology, and special education support. Faced with complex K–12 finance and HR requirements and widely varying needs across districts—many of which lack in‑house expertise or budgets—NWRESD needed a consistent, equitable way to deliver tailored services while avoiding errors and administrative bottlenecks.
NWRESD implemented Tyler Technologies’ cloud-enabled School ERP Pro, a modular, paperless system built for school finance and HR, enabling scalable remote support, integrated HR/payroll/finance workflows, and district-specific customizations. The result was greater efficiency in staffing allocation, seamless approvals and continuity during emergencies or staffing changes, improved compliance and reporting, and more equitable access to services for both small and large districts.
