A Tyler Technologies Case Study
Cobb County, Georgia (population ~688,000) faced rapid growth and limited assessor resources to document new construction and keep more than 220,000 residential and 13,700 commercial parcels current. The tax assessor needed extra staff and a fully integrated CAMA and tax billing/collection system to produce timely, defendable property values and uniform tax bills.
The county contracted Tyler’s CLT Appraisal Services and implemented IAS, privatizing the commercial division with onsite appraisal staff who used GIS, market modeling and the web‑based CAMA to standardize data. The engagement freed county staff for appeals and taxpayer services, uncovered more than $600 million in additional assessed value (covering the field review cost), increased revenue collection, and delivered fairer, more accurate assessments for all taxpayers.
