Continuous updates maximizing ERP solution functionality

Livingston Parish Public Schools, a K–12 district in Louisiana serving about 25,500 students with 4,800 employees, faced a fragmented, paper-heavy financial and payroll system whose modules didn’t integrate and made reporting cumbersome. The district wanted an integrated ERP to automate document capture, cut manual data entry, streamline workflows and move toward a paperless model.

The district implemented Tyler Technologies’ Munis (going live on payroll in January 2004) with strong consultant support and later moved to a web-based deployment that enabled one-click updates and halved troubleshooting time. Complementary upgrades—ExecuTime for time and attendance, Employee Self-Service with employee-number tracking, and ongoing PACE consulting—boosted efficiency, reduced costs and downtime, improved reporting and helped the district modernize and scale its operations.
