A Tyler Technologies Case Study
Soos Creek Water & Sewer District, a 39‑employee special district serving roughly 114,000 people in Renton, WA and a Tyler client since 1986, struggled with antiquated work order and payroll systems that didn’t communicate. Staff had to re‑enter work order data into payroll via Excel, creating silos, duplication, errors and a payroll specialist spending more than a day each pay period on manual imports and reconciliation.
The district implemented Tyler’s Enterprise Asset Management, building an integrated workflow (including GIS and an SSRS report to import work orders and job costing into payroll) and engaging cross‑divisional power users during rollout. The change cut payroll processing time by over a day per month, improved supervisor visibility and field crew efficiency through mobile access and location data, enabled better asset tracking and scheduling, and delivered measurable operational efficiencies across the organization.
