The Indiana Supreme Court’s Office of Judicial Administration partnered with Tyler to roll out a statewide e-filing program covering all 92 counties — roughly 400 lower courts plus three appellate courts. The challenge was to deliver a single e-filing solution that could handle multiple case management systems and a wide variety of case types across the state.

Tyler’s implementation enabled litigants to e-file most case types into any trial or appellate court at no cost, regardless of the court’s case management system; courts using Odyssey could electronically accept and forward filings to judges. The program eliminated printing and scanning, produced significant time and cost savings for courts and litigants, allowed courts to continue operations during the pandemic, and advanced the state to an All Electronic e-court environment.
