A Tyler Technologies Case Study
Perry County, Indiana—a county government with 16,941 parcels and about 19,000 residents—faced major challenges after adopting new property assessment software: the system was underused, much data was inaccurate, many processes remained manual, and the county needed its first comprehensive field review following the elimination of township assessors.
Tyler’s CLT Appraisal Services placed an onsite residential lister, corrected and validated property records, trained staff to use system functionality (including property images), and performed trending, sales validation and field reviews. The outcome was a fully electronic, streamlined assessment process, on-time tax billing, increased tax collections from new construction, a rapidly approved ratio study, and a four-person assessor’s office able to manage reassessments efficiently.
