A Tyler Technologies Case Study
The City of Wilsonville, Ore., a fast-growing local government of about 18,000 residents, faced persistent customer-service and paperwork challenges: inspectors’ reports were often lost or delayed, and contractors routinely called days or weeks after inspections seeking documentation. As a six-year Tyler client using Eden and Tyler Output Processer (TOP), Wilsonville needed a more reliable, timely way to deliver inspection results and reduce staff workload.
Working with Tyler, the city implemented a custom end-of-day inspection report from Eden routed through TOP for automated delivery (email, fax, print or archive). By capturing contractor email addresses and distributing on-the-fly PDFs, Wilsonville eliminated many phone calls and faxes, sped access to inspection records, improved office efficiency and customer service, and achieved measurable time savings and ROI — recognition that contributed to their 2012 Tyler Public Sector Excellence Award.
