The City of Sherman, Texas, faced slow payment receipt and rising costs from paper utility statements. Utility Billing Manager Angela Gurley partnered with long-time vendor Tyler Technologies to find a more efficient, greener billing solution.

Sherman implemented Incode’s eBill to email statements, enable online payments and add easy web enrollment. The change saved about $0.50 per statement (roughly $1,200 in the first year with 200 accounts converted), eliminated mail-delivery delays to speed payments, reduced waste and supported the city’s “go green” goals.
