Tyler Technologies implemented the Fiscal Focus site, featuring three public applications: Budget Explorer, Checkbook PGH, and Payroll Explorer. This solution made financial data accessible and interactive for both the public and internal analysts, enabling data-driven storytelling and trend analysis. The results included enhanced transparency, reduced burden on staff from public inquiries, and the practical benefit of enabling community groups to explore the budget for opportunities. Tyler's platform helped the city communicate financial narratives effectively and laid the groundwork for using data to improve other processes, like property assessment, to increase revenues.
