A Tyler Technologies Case Study
Tyler Technologies worked with the Grand Prairie Police Department to tackle the danger and inefficiency of paper citation processes. Officers were spending up to 10 minutes on the roadside filling out tickets—time that increases the risk of being struck by passing vehicles—and paper forms also led to legibility problems and more disputed citations.
Implementing Tyler’s Brazos electronic ticketing let officers scan licenses to auto-populate citations, view active warrants, and attach photos and voice notes. The result: roadside time fell by about 50% (down to roughly three minutes for experienced officers), officer safety improved, tickets became more accurate and legible, and citation dismissal and extra court appearances were reduced.
