A Tyler Technologies Case Study
Cajon Valley Union School District (16,690 students across 26 schools in San Diego County) needed to replace an aging financial and personnel system that could no longer handle county and state reporting requirements, NCLB mandates, or the growing complexity of payroll, benefits, certification and employee evaluations. The district sought a solution to consolidate budgeting, forecasting and administrative processes, streamline reporting, and give individual schools greater fiscal autonomy without increasing demands on district staff.
After a thorough RFP and vendor review, CVUSD implemented Infinite Visions (a Tyler Technologies school solution), importing legacy data and rolling out core modules plus the iVisions Web Portal for online workflow and employee self‑service. The district achieved automated workflows and paperless processes, faster benefits enrollment, stronger reporting flexibility, and measurable productivity gains—allowing schools to better manage fiscal responsibilities while reducing district workload and saving time and money.
