Leading Swiss company Scout24 uses Tyk to make APIs first citizens within its verticals

Scout24, the Swiss online marketplace group behind AutoScout24.ch, ImmoScout24.ch and Anibis.ch, needed better support for API versioning, developer onboarding, security and new API business opportunities. The company had around 10 APIs, about 1,000,000,000 requests per month, and peak traffic of roughly 1,000 per second, so it wanted an API gateway that could handle both public and internal APIs.

Scout24 chose Tyk On-Premises to manage its APIs, using the gateway, dashboard and portal to expose APIs, secure them, document them and support API key management. Tyk made it easier for non-developers to handle API publishing, reduced developer time, and helped Scout24 move toward an API-first approach while also preparing to offer paid APIs.
