Finnish start-up Sun Energia is using Tyk to make the world a better place

Sun Energia is a Finnish start-up that helps building owners assess the feasibility, viability and profitability of installing solar energy systems on rooftops. As customer numbers grew, the company found it increasingly difficult to control its multiple customer applications, each of which had previously used an independent gateway.

Sun Energia turned to Tyk On-Premises for API management and implemented Tyk’s gateway and dashboard to run all of its customer applications through one system. Tyk was up and running in a day or two in a Microsoft Azure environment, and Sun Energia now uses one active Tyk gateway and node to manage 5 APIs and about 1,300,000 API calls a year, with peak traffic of 10,000 a day.
