MiQ is a global programmatic media company that needed a central management framework for its growing API environment. As its microservices ecosystem expanded, the company wanted to make APIs first-class citizens while simplifying security, service communication, and developer workflows.

MiQ uses Tyk Cloud to handle authentication, authorisation, API access, caching, endpoint tracking, logging, and custom metrics across its services. Tyk also integrates with MiQ’s Prometheus and Grafana monitoring stack and runs natively on Kubernetes. Since adopting Tyk, MiQ says the number of microservices in its ecosystem has tripled, and developers can answer API performance questions in two or three minutes instead of struggling to do so before.
