Branch, a US-based home and auto insurance provider operating across eight states, needed full API management for GraphQL. The company had been using AWS AppSync, but it lacked the API management and developer portal capabilities needed to expose and control APIs for third-party partners and to manage internal APIs. Branch chose Tyk Cloud for this work.

With Tyk, Branch implemented full API Management for GraphQL and Tyk’s GraphQL developer portal across production, staging, and development environments. Tyk enabled Branch to bring its external API proxy and developer portal to market faster and more efficiently, helping the company work with around 20 partners, support quotes and policy access, and avoid building and staffing its own internal API proxy team.
