AMAAN Indonesia is a sharia digital platform for female micro-entrepreneurs and their families in six Indonesian provinces. As its microservices architecture grew, the company needed an API gateway to manage its internal and external APIs, support authentication and authorisation, and keep operations stable as its business expanded.

Using Tyk Gateway, AMAAN centralized API management across 950 APIs and deployed an on-premise setup on Alibaba Cloud’s Jakarta sites. Tyk helped the team speed up development, with implementation taking less than a week for the core installation, and the platform now handles around 230 million API calls per month while supporting 4,000 field agents and more than 1.08 million end users.
