Northwestern University reaches 90%+ adoption with TXI's NUcore

The customer, Northwestern University, faced a challenge in managing its 60 independent research core facilities, which were using a patchwork of systems that provided little operational insight and consumed researchers' time with manual accounting. The university partnered with vendor TXI to develop a custom core facility management solution named NUcore to bring transparency and efficiency to this complex environment.

TXI implemented the NUcore software, which provided a unified system for tracking, reservations, and billing. The solution automated processes and provided administrators with full visibility into facility usage. As a result, TXI achieved over 90% adoption, with 55 of Northwestern's 60 cores using the system. The software also became open-source and has since been adopted by several other major universities.
