ABN AMRO, the global bank with thousands of branches across 53 countries, faced a serious disaster recovery challenge when an Exchange Server failed during an emergency restore. Backup system inconsistencies and server cluster issues made it difficult to quickly recover the mail environment, and Microsoft engineers and onsite staff were unable to resolve the failure on their own. TwoConnect was brought in to help restore critical email services.

TwoConnect coordinated with ABN AMRO’s IT team and Microsoft Support to recover the Exchange Server environment, reinstall Exchange 5.5, restore databases, and fully bring back the mail system. The solution was successfully validated for cluster failover under all conditions, protecting core business operations, improving disaster recovery readiness, lowering data-loss risk, and reducing ongoing recovery maintenance costs.
