How the NHS uses Twine to foster communities and share knowledge

The NHS Leadership Academy, the NHS’s fast‑track graduate training scheme with around 1,700 staff and trainees spread across the UK, needed a way to deliver consistent resources, mobile access for on‑the‑go participants, better peer knowledge sharing, and manager visibility into trainee progress. To address these challenges the Academy partnered with Twine and implemented its intranet platform.

Twine delivered a mobile‑first intranet featuring forums, a document store and progress‑tracking tools, making content and peer support accessible on smartphones and tablets while enabling managers to collect and analyse trainee data. The Twine solution has driven strong engagement — 76% of users access the system daily, about 50,000 page views per month and 20% of traffic from mobile devices — improving knowledge sharing and programme efficiency.
