A Twilio Case Study
SendHub is a business phone service that aims to be the "Google Apps" for business telephony, founded by Ash Rust and Garrett Johnson to solve the growing pain of replacing traditional PBXs. Companies wanted to let employees use personal devices but retain privacy, management, and security — BYOD left gaps in visibility, provisioning and control that SendHub set out to fix.
Built on the Twilio communications API (Twilio Voice, SMS and Client), SendHub delivers business lines via iOS, Android and web with features like voicemail transcription, call forwarding, simultaneous ringing and an auto attendant. The Twilio platform and WebRTC sped development and improved call quality, letting SendHub launch features in days instead of weeks; the result was rapid SMB adoption, higher responsiveness for customers, and lower cost and complexity compared with legacy phone systems.
