Case Study: Chope reduces no-shows and automates reservation confirmations with Twilio IVR

A Twilio Case Study

Preview of the Chope Case Study

Revolutionizing the Asian Dining Scene with Twilio IVR

Chope is a fast-growing restaurant reservations and table-management platform across Southeast Asia that set out in 2012 to fix long phone queues, handwritten booking lists, missed confirmation calls and frequent no-shows that frustrated diners and cost restaurants revenue. Founders wanted an online booking system that would automate confirmations and free staff from manual calling so restaurants could focus on service.

Chope integrated Twilio’s IVR and outbound calling to automate confirmation calls, retries and updates to the reservation system, plus local caller ID and multi-language support to improve reach and reliability. The result: far fewer manual calls and much better table utilization — confirmation and attendance rates improved (no-shows fell substantially in some cases), staff time was saved, and Chope could scale voice services quickly as it expanded into new markets.
