A Twilio Case Study
Rofim is a France-based telemedicine startup focused on cutting the average 36-month wait for rare or complex disease diagnoses by connecting specialists and patients worldwide. Faced with sensitive medical data, cross-border collaboration needs, and strict EU/French security and compliance requirements, the company set out to build a secure, scalable platform that enables fast specialist consultations and knowledge sharing.
Using Twilio APIs for video, SMS, and messaging, Rofim built a secure, ISO 27000–aligned platform for one-to-one and group “tele‑expertise,” webinars, a searchable expert video library, and patient teleconsultations. The platform supports around 150 multidisciplinary meetings per month (up to 50 people each), as many as 5,000 monthly patient teleconsultations, and international SMS alerts for OTPs and reminders, helping clinicians share cases faster while meeting regulatory and scalability needs.
