Global66 expands digital FinServ across LATAM with the help of Twilio

Global66, a Chile-based fintech founded in 2018, set out to build a digital banking platform for underbanked customers across Latin America. To scale quickly while keeping customer experience at the center, it needed a reliable way to communicate with users over WhatsApp and SMS and support secure account access across multiple countries. Twilio helped Global66 meet those needs with products like Twilio Verify, Twilio Programmable Messaging, and the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Twilio implemented phone-number verification for sign-up and login, plus WhatsApp and SMS alerts for transactions, promotions, and other notifications. As a result, Global66 improved OTP delivery, strengthened account security, and saw higher conversion through preferred channels, while expanding from one route to customers in 7 Latin American countries. Global66 also reported greater operational efficiency and savings by avoiding extra integrations and support overhead, thanks to Twilio.
