Dwelo is a San Francisco startup that provides simple smart-hub solutions to owners and managers of large multi-family rental communities, aggregating consumer home automation into a property-management platform to save energy, improve operations, and give remote access to maintenance. Their key challenge was bringing reliable, tenant-independent home automation to rentals: hardware and software integration is complex, tenant-provided WiFi is inconsistent, and network congestion and device reliability needed to be solved for tenants, owners, and managers.
