A Twilio Case Study
Netguru, a software development and consulting company with clients around the world, needed a better way to capture and respond to inbound phone leads so calls wouldn’t be missed. The challenge was making incoming calls visible and actionable across distributed teams, especially when clients dial local numbers in different countries.
They built Callio, a Twilio- and Ruby-based app that forwards incoming calls into a Slack channel so any team member can pick them up. Built in about two weeks by Lukasz Ozimek, the lightweight solution (including a tiny Slack notifier) gives clients local numbers, centralizes lead tracking, improved responsiveness, and is now open-sourced on GitHub for others to use.
