Oregon Humane Society, the largest humane society in the Northwest, needed a better way to engage participants and boost fundraising for its largest annual event, Doggie Dash. After eliminating the registration fee, the organization turned to Twilio for Salesforce to add a new communication channel alongside email and improve donor engagement with limited staff resources.

Twilio helped Oregon Humane Society launch a multichannel strategy using SMS “flash fundraising challenges” through Salesforce campaigns. The approach paid off with an 84% increase in participants, a 24% increase in donations, and a 6.6% increase in total funds raised, helping the event generate $750K in its first year.
