To support this, Trustpilot used Twilio Segment to unify data across teams and verify reviews at scale without building a large data engineering organization.
Twilio Segment was implemented to collect and route review data through compliance and fraud engines, helping Trustpilot detect suspicious patterns and publish only legitimate reviews. The solution reduced manual data-transfer work, democratized access to reliable data, and enabled faster, data-driven decisions across product and marketing. Trustpilot now processes 149 sources, 166 destinations, and about 4 billion events per month through Twilio Segment, supporting growth to 213 million total reviews and 46 million new reviews in 2022.
