La Maison du Chocolat reduces the environmental impact of its website with TwicPics

La Maison du Chocolat, a Parisian chocolatier, sought to improve its e-commerce website's user experience while significantly reducing its environmental impact. To meet this dual objective and engage responsibly in the fight against climate change, the company worked with its agency Dn’D and the vendor TwicPics, following an initial analysis conducted by the Quanta solution to identify optimization levers.

The solution implemented was the TwicPics service to fully automate image optimization. This resulted in an average page weight reduction of 40%, decreasing data transfer and improving site performance. Furthermore, hosting images on TwicPics' French data center reduced carbon intensity. The overall impact was an annual energy saving of 108,000 kWh and a reduction of 74 tonnes of CO2eq emissions.
