Case Study: Okura achieves smarter real estate and heating solutions with Tuya Smart

Okura, a Japanese real estate and hospitality company, wanted to bring smarter, safer, and more convenient living experiences to its properties and renovation projects. To do this, it partnered with Tuya Smart and adopted Tuya’s AI+IoT Development Platform and “Powered by Tuya” smart products to create a connected smart real estate and home experience for residents.

Tuya Smart helped Okura develop a graphene floor-heating thermostat and a snow-melting system using its Cloud Development Platform, SDK, open APIs, and app/cloud connectivity. The solution enabled remote temperature control, scene settings, and automation linked with devices such as temperature controllers and AI cameras. The system is currently being tested in Hokkaido, and Okura has already opened smart home exhibition halls in Osaka and Tokyo, with more planned across Japan.
