Mondelez International, a global food and beverage company, wanted to find a better way to reach millennial shoppers and drive repeat purchases for its Cadbury brand in convenience stores. Working with Turnstyle and Couche-Tard/Mac’s Convenience Stores, the team used a Wi‑Fi-based promotion to engage customers at the moment of purchase and learn more about their behavior.
Turnstyle implemented its cloud-based Wi‑Fi marketing platform, powered by Cisco Meraki access points, to capture sign-ins, analyze visitor data, and deliver personalized coupons without a mobile app. The campaign generated 3,244 opt-ins in January, an 81% increase in sign-ins, a 14% coupon redemption rate, and a 25% increase in customer return frequency, showing a measurable lift in loyalty and store traffic.
