Faurecia, a leading automotive equipment supplier operating in 34 countries with more than 330 production sites, needed a faster and more reliable way to manage paper invoices and credit notes. The company worked with TULIP Solutions and its TULIP platform to modernize accounts payable document handling in a secure cloud environment.

TULIP Solutions implemented a workflow where paper documents were couriered to a scanning and document management center, OCR was used to extract invoice data automatically, and a validation team checked and published the documents on the TULIP platform within 24 hours. The result was lower labor costs, fewer processing errors, faster document handling, and better data quality, with an average of 350 documents processed per day, about 9,000 per month, and 219,000 documents extracted by early 2017.
