A Tulip Case Study

Preview of the TICO Tractors Case Study

TICO Tractors Reduced Quality Inspection and Rework Time by 60%

TICO Tractors, a North American terminal tractor manufacturer, needed a better way to manage quality inspections, work instructions, and production tracking as demand grew. The company had been relying on paper processes and PDFs, which made onboarding harder, increased the risk of using the wrong instructions, and left operators and supervisors without a reliable digital system. Tulip’s Frontline Operations Platform helped TICO move beyond paper and build a more scalable, customized digital operations environment.

With Tulip, TICO implemented digital work instructions, mobile quality inspection and defect-tracking apps, barcode scanning, connected lights, and RTLS-enabled torque tracking to centralize production and quality data. The result was a full MES tailored to TICO’s needs, with better traceability, faster onboarding, and clearer visibility into defects and rework. TICO reported that Tulip reduced quality inspection and rework time by about 50% to 60%, while also improving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
