Double H Nurseries faced an urgent crisis when COVID-19 lockdowns wiped out its B2B demand overnight while sitting on a million‑plus orchids that would perish if not sold quickly. With administrative bottlenecks in a makeshift direct‑to‑consumer channel threatening the opportunity to move inventory, Double H sought a fast, affordable way to digitize order fulfillment and reduce manual work — and turned to Tulip’s cloud‑based application platform.

Tulip implemented operations applications that pulled orders from Shopify, batched and sorted work for operators, printed FedEx labels and packing slips, and pushed inventory and cost updates into SAP — effectively acting as the glue between disparate systems and printers. In under two weeks Double H had rolled out the apps and, within four weeks, launched a scalable B2C line that handled up to 3,500 orders a day; Burton reports Tulip eliminated the bulk of order admin (“zero admin”), improved cycle‑time visibility, and enabled accurate margin calculation.
