A Tulip Case Study
DMG MORI, a global machine and machine-tool manufacturer, faced low process visibility and error-prone paper-based workflows on its complex, high-mix spindle assembly line. To track WIP, digitize each station, and reduce defects, DMG MORI partnered with Tulip and adopted Tulip’s no‑code platform, digital work instructions, and Tulip I/O Gateways to replace paper forms and improve real-time visibility.
Tulip implemented no‑code spindle assembly apps, station-level I/O Gateways, digital checklists, and in‑app defect reporting with automated escalation to supervisors. The solution delivered measurable impact: a 20% increase in production, a 10% reduction in failure rates, a 62% reduction in reported defects, near elimination of routing mistakes and a four‑week time to value, and has since been rolled out to additional DMG MORI facilities.
