Aligning Digital Operations with DMG MORI, Tulip, and Microsoft

DMG MORI, a global industrial machinery manufacturer, wanted to digitize its shop floor to run paperless operations, improve training, share knowledge, and provide real‑time information to frontline workers. To achieve this, DMG MORI partnered with Tulip in 2019 and adopted Tulip’s no‑code app‑building platform as a cloud‑based SaaS (running on Microsoft Azure) to automate and connect processes across its value chain.

Using Tulip, DMG MORI deployed apps across supply, logistics, goods receipt, pre‑assembly, production, assembly, commissioning and service, enabling workers to create and use custom digital processes with minimal coding. The Tulip implementation increased operational transparency, flexibility and end‑user value, spurred creativity and rapid scaling of digital solutions across the organization, and delivered tangible improvements on the shop floor even though the case study does not disclose specific numeric metrics.
