The French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) launches its agile transformation with an innovative Digital Workplace

The French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA), the IT department of France’s defense armaments directorate, needed to modernize how its 10,000 agents worked and collaborated while reducing shadow IT and improving project governance. To support its agile digital transformation, the agency turned to Tuleap Enterprise as the foundation of its new digital workplace and project management environment.

Tuleap provided a flexible enterprise agile planning platform that let the DGA test quickly with open source, pilot new ways of working, and then scale gradually across its IT ecosystem. With Tuleap, the DGA replaced manual Excel tracking with visual management and Kanban, improved cross-team collaboration, and began shifting its culture toward agility; the rollout took about 18 months and set the agency on a path toward scaling agile with frameworks such as SAFe.
