Groceries Apparel - Customer Case Study

Groceries Apparel, a Los Angeles-based organic and recycled basics brand, faced the challenge of building a vertically integrated apparel business from scratch while keeping production local, efficient, and cost-effective. As a startup with no prior industry background, it needed tools for pattern making and fabric yield optimization to compete with larger brands, and it turned to Tukatech for help.

Tukatech implemented TUKAcad and SMARTmark, along with flexible access to its tools and strong support, to streamline Groceries Apparel’s design and cutting-room workflow. The results were significant: pattern makers more than doubled their daily output, fabric planning time dropped from 30–40 hours a week to under two hours, and fabric savings rose to nearly 20%, with an estimated 100,000 yards saved next year.
