RWE AG, via its trading arm RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST), needed to bring network security back in‑house and manage connectivity across a hybrid, multi‑vendor environment while supporting a cloud‑first, DevOps‑driven organization. To regain visibility, auditability and consolidated control across legacy and next‑generation firewalls, routers and AWS, RWEST selected Tufin and its Orchestration Suite components (including SecureTrack, SecureChange and SecureApp).

Tufin provided real‑time change monitoring, automated risk analysis and an auditable change workflow, plus a developer self‑service portal for connectivity. Using Tufin, RWEST imported 500 existing requests, became audit‑ready (passing audits with only 1–2 days’ preparation), gained visibility and control of AWS security, and handled roughly three times the number of policy changes driven by cloud/DevOps. The result was faster approvals, fewer complaints, improved security focus on high‑risk changes, and higher developer productivity.
