Persona-based IT training at Braunschweig Municipal Hospital

Städtisches Klinikum Braunschweig, one of the largest hospitals in Lower Saxony with 4,500 employees, set out to digitalize its HR administration with Workday while reducing routine work for HR. The main challenge was training doctors, nurses, managers, and administrative staff effectively, despite their limited time and varying levels of IT experience. Vendor tts supported the project with a persona-based learning concept and the tts performance suite digital adoption platform.

tts created customized training formats for different user groups, including welcome sessions, webinars, eLearning, learning cafés, learning nuggets, and post-go-live floorwalker support. The approach helped the hospital achieve broad user acceptance, rapid learning progress, and high confidence in using self-services and HR processes, with staff becoming comfortable with the new system in less than two months. According to the case study, the tts performance suite also provided on-demand guidance at the point of need and helped reduce future training effort.
