Preview of the LWL.IT Case Study

LWL qualifies 8,500 employees with a new blended learning concept

LWL.IT, the Regional Council of Westphalia-Lippe’s IT arm supporting 19 psychiatric, psychosomatic and forensic clinics, needed to roll out the Nexus/Medicare hospital information system and qualify 8,500 clinical and support staff without disrupting daily care. The workforce had widely varying IT experience and strict roster constraints, so LWL.IT engaged tts to deliver training using the tts knowledge force platform and web-based training modules (WBTs).

tts implemented a blended learning program combining six role- and clinic-specific WBTs with focused presence sessions and key-user training. The approach let key users be trained in 1–2 days, most employees complete their WBTs in 6–8 hours, and clinics become proficient on core components (admissions, transfers and discharge) within 3–6 weeks. LWL.IT reported strong user acceptance, faster rollout with no major operational disruption, and praised tts for rapid content creation, flexibility and effective knowledge transfer.
