Case Study: SBB (Swiss Railways) achieves rapid, multilingual onboarding of 900 managers with tts (tt knowledge force)

A tts Case Study

Preview of the SBB Case Study

How Swiss Railways (SBB) rapidly and flexibly prepared around 900 executives in a new reporting system in three languages with the help of web-based training

SBB (Swiss Railways) needed to automate and standardize financial reporting in its SAP Enterprise Portal and to onboard around 900 infrastructure managers to a new web-based reporting system at their desktops. The rollout had to support three national languages (German, French, Italian), integrate with the existing e-tutor training platform, and provide downloadable documentation and examples. To meet these requirements SBB engaged tts and used tt knowledge force alongside the e-tutor LMS.

tts trained ten SBB authors to build web-based trainings (WBTs) and guidebooks with tt knowledge force, piloted the German course, then produced French and Italian editions using the re-recording/translation functions, exported courses via AICC into e-tutor and completed rollout by year-end. The tts solution enabled all 900 managers to learn at their desks, improved self-service reporting access, and delivered measurable savings: about €50,000 versus classroom training, roughly €10,000 from LMS integration efficiencies, and ~€8,000 by avoiding external translation services.
