Ergo Direkt, a leading German direct insurer serving 4.5 million customers with about 1,800 employees, faced the challenge of rapidly digitalizing customer channels and bringing a workforce with widely varying attitudes and skill levels up to the same digital competence. To move past outdated “one size fits all” training, Ergo Direkt partnered with tts (tt knowledge force) to source scalable, up-to-date e‑learning and multimedia learning resources.
tts delivered a non–company-specific digitalization e‑learning module (for example, “A journey through time – the ARPANET project…”) as part of a virtual learning island and lifelong-learning concept, available in multiple formats and paired with departmental evaluations and certification tests. The tts solution increased engagement—“even our most digital savvy employees learned something new”—and is staged: once 50% of employees complete the optional module, Ergo Direkt will roll out a second, ERGO‑specific phase; the company has used tt knowledge force content since 2012 across its 1,800 staff.
