Bilfinger Academy improves corporate academy with new learning platform

Bilfinger SE’s corporate Bilfinger Academy needed to harmonise classroom training and roll out e‑learning without adding multiple licensing systems or compromising sensitive personnel data. The Academy was using SAP Training and Event Management for presence courses but had no central personnel data system or clearing interface, so it engaged vendor tts to build a secure, company‑wide learning platform and integrate e‑learning with existing SAP data.

tts implemented a customer‑specific learning environment based on the SAP Learning Solution (LSO), reconciling SAP master data with external e‑learning sources, providing a Typo3 front end and web‑service integration to keep records current. The platform launched in six months (vs. nine planned); within six months half the target group were using it and some 20,000 e‑learning courses were completed or in progress. tts’s solution delivered enterprise‑wide distribution, faster course implementation, multilingual rollouts across 300 companies and clearer training histories and booking visibility for employees.
