University of Edinburgh chooses Mailroom to track student post

The University of Edinburgh needed a better way to track student post at its busy halls of residence, where the post room handled over 100 items a day and up to 150 during peak periods. TSC Business Solutions provided Mailroom, an internal mail and parcel tracking system, to help the university improve visibility, increase functionality, and prepare for future growth.

TSC Business Solutions implemented Mailroom with barcode scanning, handheld data capture terminals, electronic proof of delivery signatures, and automated email notifications to students when post arrived. The system also allowed the university to import student names and email addresses at the start of term, helping reduce unnecessary enquiries and streamline collection of post while supporting a scalable process for more than 2,000 students.
