LendingTree is an online loan marketplace that helps consumers compare personal, auto, small-business and other loan options side-by-side. Because finance is complex and emotionally charged, LendingTree faced a trust challenge: prospective borrowers (and the lenders they represent) needed reassurance quickly—often within the first one or two pages—to overcome decision fatigue and financial stress and feel confident using an affiliate marketplace.
LendingTree integrated Trustpilot review widgets and TrustScores across form pages, emails and paid social, surfacing relevant customer reviews for each loan type and qualifying for Google Seller Ratings. The changes lifted conversions (personal loans: +2% mobile, +4% desktop; auto loans: +6%) and increased revenue per visitor by 2–4%, while improving ad performance and overall brand credibility.
