How Trustpilot reviews increased sales 31% for 1st Formations

1st Formations (alongside sister sites Rapid Formations and Quality Formations) faced the challenge of improving online visibility, customer trust and conversion rates; CEO Graeme Donnelly initially sought reviews mainly to qualify for a Google AdWords star rating but was unsure how impactful they would be. The company needed a way to build credibility and turn customer feedback into measurable business improvements.

They implemented Trustpilot’s Automatic Feedback Service to collect verified reviews and actively used that feedback to fix issues, refine offerings and add services like virtual offices. As a result they gathered over 4,500 reviews, lifted conversion rates from 2.4% to 6.8%, achieved a 31% sales uplift in tests comparing pages with and without Trustpilot reviews, and strengthened customer loyalty and market position.
