5 ways Vivint uses reviews to generate quality leads

Vivint Smart Home, a leading provider of connected home security and automation, faced a crowded, fragmented market where consumers were cautious about contracts and quality. The company’s primary challenge was building trust and brand reputation at every touchpoint so prospective buyers would choose Vivint over competing systems.

Vivint partnered with Trustpilot to collect more than 1,200 post‑installation reviews (81% 4–5 stars) and used those ratings across paid search (Google Seller Ratings), landing pages, package pages, and retargeting ads. A/B testing showed strong gains: paid‑search CTRs rose 56% for brand and 94% for non‑brand terms; landing pages with reviews drove +12% conversions and +13% revenue (inbound calls +17%); packages pages produced +5% inbound calls and +3% revenue; retargeting ads lifted CTRs by 41%, 66% and 7% in three tests.
