A Trumpia Case Study
The Mustang Heritage Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting successful adoptions of wild horses and runs the Extreme Mustang Makeover competition to showcase trained mustangs. At live events with dozens of contestants, the foundation struggled to collect real-time, representative fan feedback—applause-based judging left attendees dissatisfied and organizers needed a reliable way to capture votes from a scattered audience.
The foundation used Trumpia’s text-to-vote platform, creating 20 mobile keywords and asking attendees to text "Hip#[contestant]" to 99000, with keywords promoted via microphone, banners, and signs; organizers tracked results in real time through Trumpia’s reporting. The campaign drew 838 voters (the winner received 160 votes), the Fan Favorite and rider earned over $14,000 in prizes, feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the team plans to reuse the system and leverage collected contact numbers for future promotion.
