Napa Valley Wine Train, a scenic gourmet dining experience in Napa Valley, needed a more efficient, affordable way to capture customer contact information and communicate directly with patrons beyond print, email, and social media. Prior to Trumpia, mobile numbers were collected manually at concierge desks and the company lacked a centralized tool to organize contacts and send targeted messages.
Using Trumpia’s multichannel platform, Wine Train ran mobile keyword raffle campaigns—promoting “WINE” in print and online and “CHARD” onboard—to collect entries for complimentary tickets and tastings. The campaign quickly grew their database to over 9,000 mobile subscribers, engaged up to 55% of onboard guests, and enabled targeted SMS promotions, flash sales, and automated winner notifications.
